Meet Dr. Patrick Thrasher

Dr. Thrasher, a Board Certified Psychiatrist, attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia and earned his MD at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.  Following his Psychiatry Residency at the University of Cincinnati he returned to his native Norfolk where he has practiced Psychiatry since 1979. 

 In the past he has served as the Medical Director of the Chesapeake Community Services Board, Medical Director of Mental Health Services at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, and Medical Director of Norfolk Psychiatric Center among other hospital positions.  He has been Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, President of the Medical Staff at Tidewater Psychiatric Institute and Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center.  He has served on the Anthem Health System Credentialing Committee and on a number of other committees in the Anthem and Sentara Health Systems.
